I picked up an extra event this month via Jim Sweeney at Zombie Prom at the DNA. It was a really fun event.

I was placed upstairs by the Photography booth which was both to my advantage and disadvantage..it was a light night for sales but the event itself was wholly entertaining and amusing. I had created some very nice pieces I was very proud of, including but not limited to a scarab corsage and and some pretty St. Patty's day stuff. I had intended to photo document what was not sold today, Monday.

As fate would have it my car was burgled as I slept Saturday night, the car stereo as well as my flowers were stolen. At least the windows were not smashed nor the car itself stolen. There am I happy.

Fortunately I had a box with about 20 headbands which was not taken, I still have some really nice pieces left and intend to get them "to market" stat.

I want to do Retro Pin Up Girls with Flowers and Sailors photo shoot.

Ayda is editing Photos which will then go to Amy Zing for Graphics and then to print.

Website is still in progress.

Next venue...Anchors Away at the Hubba Hubba Revue Friday May 16th with The Phantom Surfers and all sorts of Burly-Q!!

My warmest THANK YOU to the Lovely Ladies who participated in our first shoot.
Ayda captured some amazing shots and we managed the Mucha/Art Nouveau look without being overdone.

The First Shoot

Thanks Everybody,

The first shoot will will be for The overall look of IKB which is heavily inspired by Alphonse Mucha. I *Adore* the look of the Master of The Poster and I want the product/cover shots to be Mucha-esque with a modern twist. I've posted some photos for a good idea of the "look" I want and the date I am still working on.

The Second Shoot will be GOTH....I have created some beautiful pieces for the darker side and I am looking for some gothy Girls to wear it well.

The dates and location I am finalizing as well as the Photographer so get inspired and stay tuned....

The wonderful and talented Mona will be helping me design the website and March is here...I dont know if I will be able to get a free weekend...but my days off are Monday and Tuesday.

What we really need are Pictures!

Thank You if you responded to my call via blog last month and your patience as I try to get organized in the spaces of free time available to me.

If you are interested in either please let me know again here and I will be getting this together over the next couple of days.

Im also asking for Testimonials to collect and list on the site.

My friend Ronnie who is a nurse told me that her patients look forward to which flower she will be wearing that day.

I've received great compliments on the product and mostly they seem to make people happy, which makes me happy.

The last two Hubba hubba Reviews have proven very successful. Yay
We have made some amazing hair pieces. Yay

Being asked to play a Cigarette girl at the Mondavi Casino Nite Crush Party inspired me to a whole line of Casino Inspired pieces. Hat Pins for the Gents and Feathered clips for the ladies including Cards, Chips and Dice. They sold well Friday nite. Yay

Unfortunately my camera broke and photos of the new pieces are unavailable. Boo

BUT the good news is Christian Utzman, took a few photos of the pieces at the booth with his nifty camera Yay

Also GAry at Mondavi gave me an acrylic turnstyle display, they were gonna throw it away! Yay!!

And in 3 weeks or so he has offered to help me get me on website back up and running. Yay Yay

Also there will be a few select items available at The Dark Garden booth at the Dickens Faire. Yay

Come join us at The net Hubba Hubba Review in December..New Morty Show is playing. YAy

Hubba Hubba Review with Lee Press On and The Nails was a grand success!

Made a great connection with an artist from Teatro Zinzani!!

I think we will have a regular spot with Hubba Hubba's now new monthly show.

I will have a small table at Tit For Tat's premier at The Boom Boom Room this Thursday.

New Hair Pieces are selling Well!

Recently I met a woman from Japan named Koko, she is our summer chef at the winery. She fell in love with my flowers so I gave her one, she asked to see more and bought a piece I had made with fall flowers and quail fethers, she said it matched her favorite Kimono back at home and she wanted to talk to her friend about selling them in Japan.

I was like woah.

still am.

Im other news, Mona is to help me and create a merchant website for online sales. I need to be shameless about Self-promotion and that feels silly.

Im hoping for the best.

I.K. Bonita had a table at the Lee Press On and the Nails show Jan 6th.
It was a great night, we sold many hair pieces and flower sets and managed to cut a rug here and there.

DNA Lounge is gonna do it again...Dates to post.

Tygre will have with her this weekend at Dickens, a suitcase full of flower sets as well as some of the feathered hair pieces and Men's hat accessories.

Prices will range from 5-25 bucks.

Wings&Horns

So after a season of Midsummer Night's Dream and various fairy wing fiascos. I decided to attempt to make a few pair of Wings for Halloween and sell tham at my booth at the Saturday Market.

Inspired by a few pair I'd seen on the circuit and then going back to my Girlscout Troop Leader days I think I came up with a marketable construction...

As in good enough to sell at a market, not just good enough to wear to a party or on stage.

The Gem dealer came and checked them out, he said they were really well made and when he had made them back in Oregon he had charges 4 times as much.

I ended up selling two pair of wings.

Also inspired by a pair of Horns Misha had brought Christina form Oregon I made sparkly twisted red and black demon horns and sold two pairs of those as well.

Next....I am continuing to make Hait Bouquet and have added some very beautiful headresses.

Im working on making their construction "marketable" as well.
